The Otherside

The Arse-Kicking at the Labrynth

So, we arrived at this temple. It had very tall altars, pillars, archways, and the sort of thing you’d expect from abandoned ruins. However, the big difference was the gigantic temple with these weird bull-men on top of the ledges.

Hal and the tiefling decided we should attempt to pick them off from a distance while the winged tiefling specimen picked them off with what I only can assume is an eldritch blast. Must be some type of warlock.

After picking off a few of them, they all headed inside the temple, apparently they went underground, we then followed them up the temple and found some kind of teleporter, we went in 2 by 2. I got stuck with the bloody imp, it wouldn’t stop fucking talking. Longest 30 seconds of my life.

When I eventually got inside the temple, I saw the bull-men arranged in a circle around my party and I thought. “Hmm, ambush tactic. Fairly clever. Did not expect this from these Bull-Men”.

Once I had gotten inside, I was knocked out by one of the bull-men when the winged tiefling flew away. (First time I’ve seen a winged tiefling, I’ve heard about them before, but never seen them in person.)

Once I was revived, we went towards the exit portal. At least this experience served to complete my training in the elvish tradition of the Bladesinger, and I can feel myself being super close to unlocking the power of how to manipulate the knowledge within my own head.

EDIT: I’ve found out that the bull-men are called Minotaurs based on my research in the illustrius library. Already posted the report, so this’ll be here as a correction.

The Loss of the Beard

Valir comes to us and shows us a map of the general area and this wierd Firbolg shows up.
Very tall and heavily armored human with gray skin and a stubby nose, wearing a green overcoat and blonde hair and shows up to our table with the Guildmaster.
He is a new member named Genlar, and we’re taking him on this mission per request of the guildmaster.
Mourlisk flipped over the table to introduce himself, but when we went back he fell flat on his ass and the bartender picks him up and slaps him.
Valir drags him by the shoulder out of the tavern.

Valas fails to track well, no real identifiable terrain markers to help him navigate us.
Valas, Nyxis, and Hal are not making a good impression on our new blood.

We travel for about a day and don’t make very much progress.

We make camp, Valir is off to the side.
Valas found us a full deer for dinner.

Suddenly, a bunch of swarms of snakes appear and cover Mourlisk who’s beside us.

We kill the snake bastards.

After waking up, we head to the entrance of the cave and kill some kobolds.

We venture into the caves some more and kill a bunch of kobolds and a red dragon wyrmling.

I also lost my fucking beard to that kobold mage bastard. I am now getting called a fat gnome because of this.
Those bastards are fucking dead to me.

I will now spend my time growing back my beard, I am naked now. I am fucking pissed now at everyone making fun of me for this.

The Gnoll Caverns

We went into the caverns that no one can finish and fought several skeletons that looks like minotaurs, and severan undead.

Death of a Dick
The time the Raven Queen led to the death of the skeleton man.

Log of the Dwarven Mercenary.
Before the mission, Valir came to us saying that there was apart of a mission the previous guildies could not finish.
Valir because of this took lead, he nacigated us around the ambush they had reached.
In the temple, Valir and Hal took out the hunter, but Valir took 2 arrows to the shoulders, and went down.
Everyone tried sticking Mourlisk’s soul knives into him to stabilize him, but eventually Mourlisk helped to stabilize him.
Nora had Mihnarath scout ahead, and saw a lot of gnolls in the caves ahead.
We killed everyone in the cave across from us and when we went across, The Dick known as Chatty put on his Gnoll head and shouted something and alerted them onto our prescence.
We had a tough fight.
During the fight, Nora had to kill Chatty due to a command from the Raven Queen.
We left after killing everyone, and we went to the town for some rest.

Fuck the Raven Queen, and Fuck that Skeleton Dick for causing this.
I need to go smash somethings face in now.

We head downstairs while a couple stay upstairs to keep watch
We find rooms and hallways
First room had some statue’s and bowls in the room and we experienced an earthquake of sorts.
A few traps that spews radiant flames shoots out at everyone but Aritian
Valas knocks open a door and a Skeleton is waiting on the other side.
A giant minotaur skeleton charges us and impales Valas as we turn a corner.
We open the next door and 8 skeletons attack us
Another minotaur skeleton comes out and attacks.
Nahra picks up a book and doesn’t seem like herself right now.
She hurries to Aritian and tells him to leave
*A paladin who protects the tomb possesses Nahra
Body is in the vault
*Aritian has to cast Calm Mind to calm the party that is now infighting and guides everyone upstairs to deal with the night riders.
Aritian locks the door and the holy golden symbol on the door changes to Aritian’s Deity symbol
We hear fighting coming from outside.+
6 zombies, 2 ogre zombies and a drow with tattoos riding a zombie horse leads them
The swarm of ravens are assisting us
We damage the drow and he flees promising to return.
We finish them out and everyone just passes out for the rest of the night

Silver raven figurine of raven power
This silver figurine turns into a raven on command (but it retains its metallic consistency, which gives it hardness 10). Another command sends it off into the air, bearing a message just like a creature affected by an animal messenger spell. If not commanded to carry a message, the raven obeys the commands of its owner, although it has no special powers or telepathic Abilities.
It can maintain its non figurine status for only 24 hours per week, but the duration need not be continuous.
Amulet of Health
Your Constitution score is 19 while you wear this Amulet. It has no effect on you if your Constitution score is already 19 or higher.
Ring of spell storing
This ring stores spells cast into it, holding them until the attuned wearer uses them. The ring can store up to 5 levels worth of spells at a time. When found, it contains 1d6 − 1 levels of stored spells chosen by the GM.
Any creature can cast a spell of 1st through 5th level into the ring by touching the ring as the spell is cast. The spell has no effect, other than to be stored in the ring. If the ring can’t hold the spell, the spell is expended without effect. The level of the slot used to cast the spell determines how much space it uses.
While wearing this ring, you can cast any spell stored in it. The spell uses the slot level, spell save DC, spell attack bonus, and spellcasting ability of the original caster, but is otherwise treated as if you cast the spell. The spell cast from the ring is no longer stored in it, freeing up space.
